Darcy Talks at the 31st LD Meeting
Darcy attended the 31st Legislative District meeting at the Marion Grange, in Buckley on Wednesday, February 20th. Tim Pearson, chair of the 31st LD gave Darcy a warm welcome. He was pleased to introduce Darcy to the many new people in the room, most of whom had been inspired to attend the meeting by the caucus process and the growing excitement over the presidential race.
It was great to see so many enthused Democrats in an area where Democrats sometimes feel like they are a minority. Not this year! Democrats are showing up in large numbers, ready to talk to their neighbors and friends to elect Democrats up and down the ticket. Darcy introduced herself and spoke about how she is going to win with everyone’s help. She asked those in attendance to pledge to talk to their neighbors as this has been proven to be the most effective tool for voter outreach in Pierce County. Many people signed up with the campaign that evening to volunteer and help Darcy win in 2008.
