Burner out-raises Reichert in congressional campaign’s second quarter

Congressional candidate Darcy Burner continued to out-raise incumbent Rep. Dave Reichert in the second quarter of 2008, according to reports the campaigns made to the Federal Elections Commission on Tuesday.
Burner, a Democrat who lost to Reichert in 2006, also spent more than her opponent in the hotly contested 8th Congressional District race.
In 2006, the two campaigns each raised more than $3 million by November. Reichert, of Auburn, has been targeted by Democrats as one of the most vulnerable incumbent Republican members of Congress again this year.
