Thank You for Your Support
It is likely at this point that Congressman Reichert has won re-election, and while we will certainly ensure that every valid vote is counted, we accept the decision of the voters.
Darcy Burner would like to thank the thousands of people who put so much time and effort into her campaign, as well as the countless thousands more who went beyond voting to actively participate in our democratic process this year. The election of Barack Obama as our new President will ensure that the change to the direction of our country called for in Burner’s campaign is realized in the new year.

Darcy Burner’s Interest in Service Started Early
By GREGORY ROBERTS
P-I REPORTER
Democratic congressional candidate Darcy Burner may be a relatively inexperienced politician who has never been elected to public office, but she has already held a national position of sorts.
When she was 18 and living with her family in Nebraska, Burner was chosen the national cadet of the year by the Civil Air Patrol, the civilian auxiliary of the Air Force. CAP conducts disaster relief and search-and-rescue operations and offers aerospace education in its extensive cadet program for teens.

Darcy: It’s Time to Put the Middle Class First Again
Darcy has released a detailed economic blueprint designed to strengthen the middle class and restore the shared prosperity of the 1990s after the economic decline of recent years. Darcy supports the Clintonomics that created 22.4 million new jobs, higher wages and a sustained period of economic growth over the Bushonomics advocated by Congressman Reichert, which has led to more than 600,000 jobs lost this year alone. Darcy’s plan will:
- Cut middle class taxes more than $4000 a year for a typical family
- Return fiscal responsibility to Washington D.C. by restoring the Clinton era pay-as-you-go rules
- Target investments in research and technology to spur growth and create jobs.
