Darcy Burner's "Send a Message" Petition
On Monday, George Bush is coming to Washington State to reward Congressman Dave Reichert for his unwavering support for the Iraq War. Bush’s plan is to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for one of his closest backers, setting the stage for more Bush big money visits to the districts of other vulnerable die-hard war supporters in the future. We need to stop Bush in his tracks. We need to send Congressman Reichert into an early retirement. Even more importantly, we need to send a message to the go-along Democrats in Congress to end the war.

We believe that it is time to stand up and fight for what is right. We believe it is time to say “NO!” to the disastrous policies of the Bush administration. We believe it is time to bring the Iraq war to a responsible close. We believe it is time to restore our strained military, balance our budgets and rebuild our burned bridges with the rest of the world. And we believe it is past time for our Congress in Washington, D.C. to stop stampeding in the face of the Bush administration’s fear-mongering, and instead stand up and do what we know is right.
